Can you help me map a MIDI/ASIO controller to keyboard or macro?

I have an Evolution E-16 MIDI/ASIO (via USB) controller that just sits on my desk most of the time.

It struck me that I should be able to map the controller to other functions, given that it’s running via USB.

So, like the title says: can you help me to map the controller to another input?

I want to use the inputs on the midi/ASIO controller to control other things than sequencers, VSTs or the like.
