Problems with new World of Warcraft Patch 4.0.1?

Asked by Tenpinmaster (2925points) October 20th, 2010

Since the new patch I have seen an increasing number of glitches across the entire system, most notably the glitch in the instances. I was wondering if anyone knew why if you hover your mouse over an area it will freeze up the entire game. I have noticed this even more in the seasonal Headless Horseman dungeon.

Yes, the mousing over of the pumpkin in HH has caused freeze ups with many people, including myself. The reason apparently has something to do with tooltips. You can sift through the 18 pages of this thread on the WoW forum here.

I’ve noticed a ton of gliches in the game since the patch. If you go to the WoW forums, you’ll see that most of the issues are acknowledged by Blizzard (and they are apparently trying to fix them). But, I was also told by several people that because Blizzcon is this week, the repairs won’t be as fast as we’d like.

So far, the only way I can get through the HH dungeon is by staying away from the pumpkin and NEVER mousing over it ..lol. Even then, there are other smaller gliches (like the instance telling me I’m dead and can’t port out of it lol).

All we can do really is wait….. and wait.
