Is anyone doing NaNoWrimo?

Asked by ZAGWRITER (1511points) November 6th, 2010

I don’t know if I have the time. Does anyone else? Do you think that this is a worth while event that helps to further creativity, or is this the literary equivalent of Guitar Hero, or something?

I have never participated but had a good freind who did a few years ago.

It’s not so much a competition as an exercise, so whatever discipline you can muster is still a win!

Go for it!

I’m doing the mini version – NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). I think anything that can get you to write if you’re a writer is a good thing.

In my attempt to be discovered I am participating in Nanoo Nanoo. I’m six days late, but I did start this morning. Two hundred and sixty-seven words down.

I abandoned my initial writing project in favour of working on a children’s book, but yes – I am participating in National Novel Writing Month. I do not know how far I will get this year, but I have missed writing lately.

I’m not in it for competition or even to hit the 50,000 word challenge, but to make myself write instead of stare at a blank screen for hours on end.

I’m not working on a novel but my roommate is and to support everyone and challenge myself I’m writing 15 posts for my website. I haven’t finished a single one but I’ve started all of them and some are as far as 90% done.

I was planning to but it didn’t happen. Le sigh.

I got a late start, but finally thought of an idea last night and started writing this morning. I managed to churn out three thousand or so words at a write-in, so if I can keep that up, I’m golden.
