Dear Sir/Madam,

Application for the position of Supervisor

In respond to your advertisement on Classified Post this week, please accept this letter in application for the supervisor position available within your company.

I have been working at Café 1882 on the peak with three years in a supervisory position. I have gained experience and built up my leadership’s skills from handling different kinds of events like cocktail function, wedding party, conference lunch or dinner, outside catering. I have been also required to provide training to my team members.

I am interested to continue my career in catering services because I enjoy interacting with people and learning the knowledge of wine and food.

Although my resume provides you a good summary of my background and experience, I would like to meet you in person and further discuss my ability to handle the responsibilities of the position.

Thank you for your consideration of my application.

Yours faithfully,

In response to your advertisement in the “Classified Post” this week, I would like to apply for the position of Supervisor at your company.

I have been working at “Cafe 1882” in a supervisory postion for three years. In this post I have gained experience and built up my leadership skills handling a variety of events like cocktail functions, wedding parties, conference lunches and dinners as well as outside catering. Very nice, @ZEPHYRA ! My only change would be instead of “I would appreciate it if I had the opportunity…” saying, “I would appreciate having the opportunity…” But I know who I want to help me with editing!! ;D

And good luck, @ckk1984net!

@ZEPHYRA – Great job.. I have a few more tweaks. :)

- You don’t really need the ‘Application for the position of supervisor’ line, since you state in your letter that you would like to apply for the supervisor position. If you like, you can put Objective: Supervisor Position on your resume, it’s just not needed here, in my opinion.
