What features would you like to see added to Fluther?

I’d like a block/hide feature of some sort.

@cockswain You mean for individual user’s responses or something?

That makes me think a NSFW filter would be nice for when I am at school lol.

Sort of like facebook, where you can just not see posts/questions by certain users. Something to that effect. It would keep my blood pressure lower.

A feature that somehow manages to link questions about new features all together so people can see what was suggested in the past. Or maybe people could even vote on the features to indicate a priority.

@wundayatta That’s a good point, particularly since this question pops up fairly often. Maybe there is a group that evaluates these suggestions, I don’t know. There should be if there isn’t. The site should certainly consider the ideas of the frequent contributors.

I would like a simple button to push that would show PM’s I’ve sent, sorted chronologically. I really don’t want to “write it on a post-it” or whatever Markyy once suggested.

A “Contact a mod” button.

Webcam compatible. You know, like one huge skypeathon…....okay maybe not then :¬)

@augustlan I would like that sort of thing too, if we’re talking about the same thing. I would like to know which mods are “on duty” at any time. There are several times when I have wanted to ask a mod something but have had no idea who was around. Once I ended up flagging a question and making my request for information; making my case that the question be handled in a particular way, in the comment box because I didn’t know of any other way to contact any of the mods who were online or “on duty” at the time.

I’d love to have a “preview box” for PMs like we do for answers so I can make sure text comes out styled correctly instead of filled with funky lines and dashes, and to be able to test my links to someone before sending the message.

Oh, yeah, and coffee service.

I think a list of “who’s online” like some forums have would be neat. Failing that, a list of which mods are on seems to be a popular idea.

I’d like to see a time stamp. Rather than just tell us on what day the question was asked, why not tell us when the answers were posted? Just for curiosity’s sake.

@Seelix : You can see when answers were posted by hovering your cursor to the right of the “Flag as…” button under the post. A red “paragraph” symbol appears, then when the answer was posted.

I like @chyna‘s and @cockswain‘s ideas. I would also like to know how many members are online. I don’t need to know who, and would not like it if it showed I was currently logged in, but a number would be nice.

Well, it’s not that the text is small, it’s that you can only view about two lines of text in the description at a time.

I would like to see the questions tab bar or hot links on every page especially on the activity page.

I was hoping to get a head start on housework and preparing for Thanksgiving. Fluther isn’t helping me at this moment. Maybe the guys could finally do those dishes they promised they would do?

I would like to be able to search and sort private messages.

I’d like to either get a message or have that question flagged for me.
2) I’d like to be able to delete all the messages in Questions for you and Activity for you.
I have thousands there and it takes too long to do it one by one so I just ignore them .

@worriedguy – have you stopped following some questions, and hit “Not Interested” instead of “Remove”?

@worriedguy In “Questions for you” there is a “Remove all” option. In “Activity for you”, there isn’t. I’ve always wanted to be able to select specific multiple questions (in both places) and remove them all at once.

@augustlan I just deleted all the questions for me. Thanks! That’s a load of my mind. ;-)
Now I’d like to clear out the “Activity for you” the same way.
@iamthemob You see, I have the attention span of a gnat. I rarely go back to a question unless I get a GA. Usually I am supposed to be doing something else (Who isn’t, right?) and just pop in and out mostly to see if my “Messages for you” is bolded.

I would like to be able to see if someone is logged on or not.

I want to see on my contacts profiles a little note saying “is following ducky_dnl” and if they aren’t then leave the profile normal. I hate having to check to see if one of my contacts stopped following me. It would be easier to know if their profile said it. I don’t want to delete the wrong person from my contacts.

@ducky_dnl If you go to someone’s profile you will see the text “augustlan is following you” where you can see the people they are following and who you are both following.
