NSWF Do I sound pregnant?

Asked by Marchofthefox (787points) November 27th, 2010

My boyfriend were having intercourse, we used a condom. After we checked the condom, no rips, tears, nothing. I had a funny feeling something wasn’t right and I took plan B.
My period usually comes on the fourth. The month of October it came on the eleventh.
When should I expect PMS?
I am feeling a little chest soreness and about a week ago, I felt a little queazy.

If your last period was October 11th and you’ve been having sex since then, it is possible you are pregnant. The only way to know is to take a test. It could just be that the Plan B messed up your cycles as well, but a test is the only way to know for sure. If you had a normal 28 day cycle, your period would have been due November 8th, so you’re over two weeks late (if you normally have 28 day cycles). So if you are pregnant, it would most likely show up. If you take a test and it’s negative and you still don’t get your period within a week, you should call your doctor and let them know what’s going on.

Buy a digital test and take a test first thing in the morning when you wake up (that’s when your urine will be the most concentrated).

Yes the tone of your question indicates that you could be pregnant (or that plan b has you out of whack just a little).

simplest way to know: take a test :)

I would say if the condom did not have a rip and you took Plan B you are most likely not pregnant (both are fairly reliable…in combination very reliable). You may be, however. Take a test. Urine tests are very reliable. If the pregnancy test indicates you are not pregnant, I would think that is proof enough (not that urine pregnancy tests can’t be incorrect, they can). The combo of:

intact condom
Plan B
Negative urine pregnancy test

would be enough proof for me! If you are STILL concerned after that you can always have a blood test.

Take a test.

You talk about the October period but don’t make it clear if that was the last period you had. If you had one in November then combined with “against” you probably are not. As others have said, either way, the best indicator is the pregnancy test. you could also go to your doctor or health clinic and they do test for you.

You’re period time could just be changing so it makes you not feel as good. For some people it’s possible to have a change like that in periods. They used to have it for a week every month, now they have it for 3 days every 2 months. It’s just about growing up. To be sure though you should take a test.

Oops, I’m sorry for mixing the dates. In October I had gotten my period on the eleventh, I was under a lot of stress in November and my period came on the fourth. I only had protected sex once this month and took plan B because I had a funny feeling I should about two weeks ago..

If you had a period on October 11th and then again on November 4th, you would be due to start your period sometime between today and Thursday (today based on the number of days between 10/11 and 11/4 but Thursday based on a 28 days cycle). Stress can mess up your cycles though, so if you are still stressed, it may be longer. Since it’s still pretty early, I’d recommend testing now, but then testing again at the end of the week if the first test is negative and you don’t start your period by the end of the week. Plan B can also have an effect on the hormones in your body, so that could also mess with your normal cycles.

If you are or not just don’t stress. If you keep stressing it will have a bad affect on you. Stress is usually NEVER good. Just don’t worry about it. Get tested and what happens happens.

The Plan B can set your period back a few days. If you don’t start within the next week, I’d say get a stick test from the store. I know that I’ve had a couple of pregnancy worries in the past and honestly, stressing about it like I did caused my period not to come. Both times, my period was seriously late, I was stressing like crazy, and then the day I took a pregnancy test, my period started.

Ease your mind of the stress and get a test at the store!

Eek! I forgot to put that I only had intercourse once this month and IT was protected.

Seaofclouds's avatar

@projectilevomit It only takes once, just saying. Take the test. Condoms aren’t 100%, if your period doesn’t show up, you should test.

I’m not, yay! :D
