Is it possible to switch verizon phones if you don't have access to make changes to the account?

I have a very old verizon phone that is given to me by my company, and my manger is a jerk and won’t allow me to switch phones even though I’m offering to either swap to one of my better personal verizon phones that I’m not using anymore or to buy a new one by myself altogether.

i believe you can you just need the esn number and that you can find normally behind the battery….you wont need anything from the account of the phone just those numbers…what the heck is his prob if you are suppling the phone? wow what a jerk so yeah call verizon or just go to the verizon website to switch phones just need that esn number
