Would this be good as an impromptu speech to tell in my class?

Asked by ladyv900 (713points) December 6th, 2010

Telling them the scams of some acting performance arts & modeling and the real deal of how anxious individuals want to get in that kind of industry.Or is there any quick topics that you have in mind that would really interest my audience ?

We don’t know your audience—what kind of class?

@perspicacious Just regular students in the classroom.

The subject? That’s what I was asking about, not the species of student.

@perspicacious I’m terribly sorry that I confused, you it’s a public speaking class. That’s my subject.

Negative subjects don’t usually go well with public speaking classes. Try something that would be humorous like the top five reasons why you should never shop at walmart. One of those reasons should be that the lines are so long if you’ve bought anything that needs to be refrigerated it’ll go bad by the time you reach the checker. I did mine on how to cross the boarder illegally.

Do you understand what an ‘impromptu’ speech entails? The topic will be assigned to you moments before it’s time to deliver. That’s what ‘impromptu’ means… you won’t have time to prepare for it.

However, Mark Twain had the best line on the topic of impromptu speeches when he said It usually takes me more than three weeks to prepare a good impromptu speech.
