Almost all corn produced in the states is genetically modified to resist pest. So the gm corn has it’s own insecticide built in.

We are growing three kinds of genetically modified energy crops on a portion of our land. It’s for fuel – not food.

@worriedguy I disagree – watch food inc and you will see how much of the genetically modified crops are ending up in our food… especially corn, corn is being turned into everything.

All agriculture is “genetic modification.” I’m fine with it.

Yes. I’m sure all the foods I eat are grown in soil contaminated with all sorts of stuff not to mention the seeds themselves being modified to have herbicides built in. What good is growing organic food with no added pesticides if you don’t have uncontaminated soil and water?

@mrlaconic The crops we are growing, a type of switch grass and two others, do not produce seeds or pollen. They are only useful for their heat content.

Congress passed bill S 510.
Monsanto got it attached to another bill. When it failed to pass on it’s own.
They want to stop people from growing organic food in their own backyards.
Congress once again put big business and the Lobbyist before the American people’s health.
They are trying to say this bill will prevent more food scares. What about all the imports?
