How can you tell if someone means it when they say "i love you"?

It’s not in the words themselves, it’s in their actions. You can tell if someone loves you by what they do and how they act. If words are all you’ve got, say like in a long distance relationship where it’s hard to be with them, then just listen to how they say it. You shold be able to tell by those two things.

i know this sounds dumb, but you will know. if its not a real i love you, the feeling and all that jazz isn’t in it.

Do their pupils get bigger when they see you? That’s an involuntary cue that they’re genuinely happy to see you.
