once you have kids it becomes a drill, so if you were free of a domestic existence AND had the money to travel then you would be up for some adventure. It’s in the travel, I mean how many different things can you do in your town before you’ve done it all?

For me it comes from talking to strangers. Each experience is new, I typically learn something as a result. Today, there was a lady at the bus stop who was cracking up as I complained about the nonsense that is the bus schedule (which with several college degrees, I find nearly impossible to decipher). She was very helpful, I made a friend and I learned how to read the bus schedule. I talk to people in elevators, standing in line to buy something, it doesn’t matter. I make a point to talk to at least one total stranger every day.

Pay attention to the details of your world.

Stay open to things:

— Read to expand the boundaries of your world, to make yourself more interesting to others, and to make your own thoughts more interesting to you.

— Seize opportunities to have new experiences (as long as they are safe and legal and don’t harm anyone).

— Entertain challenging questions that explore yourself, the meaning of your experiences, and the many interlaced dimensions of the wide, wide world.

— If you are going to school, throw yourself into it and learn whatever’s there to be learned. If any teacher inspires or excites or awakens you, take all the courses you can from that teacher. Inspiration is a priceless gift, and a very personal one.

— Remember that everyone, without exception, knows something you don’t know. Find out what it is.

— Pay attention. Pay full attention. Pay full and complete attention.

Look for the good in every single thing that you involved yourself in,
even the perceived negative that others will do to you..

Do it with all of your heart, otherwise do it not.

This way you are Living LIFE as intended.

Pay particular attention to Truth for without it you cannot do the any of the above.

Read anything and everything you can get your hands on. Watch the TED talks… all of them that you have time for. Talk to new people, and really listen to them. People watch. Love, love, love.

At the end of each day you can ask yourself what you are grateful for. Does wonders when you wake up the next day. Being grateful is the number one factor influencing whether someone is happy or unhappy.

Learn new stuff. Take on new challenges and learn new talents. Works for me anyway…

Learn something new every day, help someone new every day.

Do One Thing every day that scares you is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that I recommend to you.

It really is as @daisy0832 says.

PAY ATTENTION!

Nothing is ever the same twice if you look at it at a fine enough level of granularity. There are always new things, even in the most boring of circumstances.

BE CURIOUS!

If you are curious, which is to say, interested, then of course you can live interestingly each day. If you’re curious, you’ll definitely learn something you didn’t know before.

DO WHAT YOU WANT!

If you do what you want, you will be living as if it were the last day of your life. What you want is made up of a lot of competing desires. This is not an exhortation to be wild and crash your car into wall or spend all your money in a casino. That’s because those kinds of Id-ly wants are always tempered by long term considerations and by the feelings of others you love. Most people want to leave the world better off for their children. So people will still be working on the behalf of others on the last day of their lives.

However, if you do what you want, you will be doing what you think is most important for you to do in your life, no matter whether it is the last day or any day before that.

LIVE INTERESTINGLY!

I’m a little confuzzled here. Do you want to live interestingly for yourself, or for someone else? I think the answer lies within the question. You can’t live interestingly for someone else. You aren’t in their heads. You can only live interestingly for yourself, and if you live for yourself, and follow the above exhortations, you will live interestingly.

Start by thinking about others and what you can do to make this world a better place.
