What would be the hardest thing for you to go without for weeks if need be?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) December 17th, 2010

For you what would be the hardest to go weeks or months without, alcohol, driving, sex, smoking, meat, or watching TV? I know people who have habits such as smoking and it would appear if they had to give up something like driving or sex that they might have cigarettes everyday when they needed it they would. Some people it seems to be food. What is your Achilles’ heel, what could you simply can’t do without for long durations of time, or doing so would leave you very grumpy, annoyed or depressed?

Human interaction. Lack of water would most likely kill me, but lack of some kind of contact with others would drive me nuts. But then I might not notice, so maybe it’s beer or wine as well. lol

Alcohol, smoking and TV are all things I don’t do, so they would be the easiest to do without. Driving, meat and sex would be harder. I’ve gone months without sex, so I know I can do it, although it is very unpleasant. I live in a city, so driving isn’t absolutely necessary. As it is, I ride my bike a lot, so I could manage. I’ve eaten vegetarian and it’s ok. I can do it. Not so nice, though. I think I’d choose meat as the hardest to be without.

Now, if we’re talking things other than on your list, obviously air is at the top, then water, then food.

Coffee!!!!!!! Without that, I would have migraines worse than imaginable! I am now so bad about caffeine, I drink the coffee/cappuccino with the extra caffeine, High Alert! Love IT!!!! I also found these packets called stoks, they have 2 shots of espresso in it. And basically they look just like regular creamer packets. They ARE AWESOME!!!!

Two elderly gentlemen, who had been without sex for several years, decided they needed to visit a cat-house for some tail.

When they arrived, the madam took one look at them and decided she wasn’t going to waste any of her girls on these two old men.

So she used “blow-up” dolls instead. She put the dolls in each man’s room and left them to their business. After the two men were finished, they started walking home and began to talking. The first man said, “I think the girl I had was dead. She never moved, talked or even groaned. How was it for you?”

The second man replied, “I think mine was a witch. When I nibbled on her breast she farted and flew out the window!”

Probably my computer. That would be really hard for me to give up. Showers, tv too.

Internet, definitely. Don’t watch much TV, don’t drink coffee, I’ve gone months without sex (since I started), I could go without meat or sweets or some food restriction like that, I could even give up driving, but the internet or the computer in general would be hard…

Being away from my family. Coffee, at first, but I would get over it pretty soon. Having no access to yarn or thread, although I could do designing with paper and pencil for awhile to make up for it

Caffiend. I’d be crankier without it than not smoking for weeks or even having physical affection.

Meat! If I couldn’t have any meat for weeks I’d probably be the most irritable person you know. At the beginning of the school year I found out that I couldn’t get free lunch so no more chicken sandwiches every day. I had a total flip out at the though that I wouldn’t have meat every day. Now I can go a couple days without it but don’t torture me with a couple of weeks!
