MP3 files only play on the computer?

Asked by danieljl (40points) December 19th, 2010

I burned a few mp3s to a CD. The files seem OK when I look at the details (on the PC) but it will only play on the computer not the CD player.

Yes, mp3 files can not be played by ordinary cd players. You need a cd player that explicitly supports mp3 files, or you need to write a normal audio cd that will convert the mp3 into uncompressed cd-audio, which however means that you will only be able to get 1/10 of the files onto the disc

Only a cd player that supports mp3 files will play.
