Anyone tips for professional workflow management?

Asked by LeRenard (9points) December 22nd, 2010

I’m looking for a workflow tool that’s
– easy to host;
– has a transaction model built in (recovery, save state);
– import LDAP users (sync)
– api to track a user’s tasks
– api to view active workflows & their state.
– import/export functions to the BPMN standard

This doesn’t do everything you are looking for, but it’s the best I got: workflowy is a cool new webapp I found online the other day for work flow management, you might look into it.

ProcessMaker is a decent open source workflow option; if you are looking for commercial vendors, there are several depending on budget that you may have. Another site that can provide helpful insights to pick the right tool would be the workflow management coalition: www.wfmc.org
