What is the quickest way to get coins in "pocket frogs" app?

It takes so many coins to buy each new habitat, I am wondering what is the best way to gain coins the fastest to move up in this game? I have been trying to sell frogs but it costs to breed them… what is the best strategy here?

I cannot believe I’m admitting to playing this.
The best way is to stay in the pond, look for the gifts and breed the frogs. The items that you put in the habitat that have higher happiness values make your frogs grow faster. You don’t have wait until frogs mature to sell them; you can sell them from the nursery. You can only have 7 habitats.
This game is awesome for OCD tendencies. In addition to the coins, there’s the other levels for achievement going on with the game. I find that the repetitive nature of playing it helps me focus when I’m trying to problem solve.
The only other game on my iPod Touch is Plants vs. Zombies.
Time skipping. Played at release, made 3 million+ coins, stopped playing by third week. It’s a good game, I just found better things to do.

Just let time pass and revisit it later…or just threaten the frogs family’s at gunpoint
