Adding topics?

Asked by josrific (2575points) January 4th, 2011

I can’t seem to find where I can add topics to my profile. Also, when typing “your story”, what information is usually wanted?

Thanks

Sadly, topics are not quite as easy to get to as we’d like. Right now, the only way to add them is to hover your mouse over one wherever you see one you’d like to add (other questions, other people’s profiles, in the topic cloud at the lower right hand corner).

As far as ‘your story’ goes, that’s completely up to you. Some people tell a lot about themselves, some post favorite books/songs/quotes, and some people don’t fill it out at all. What I personally like to see is enough to give us an idea about what you’re like. What you do, what you know, and what you care about. But that’s just me. Welcome to Fluther! :)

Try reading random profiles to see the types of things that people have written.

Good question. I was looking for a way as well; I found this question through search.

Has anything changed since it was first asked?

Nope, it’s still hovering over a topic that you want.

Ahh well, thank you @marinelife.

@Plucky Since the founders and development team were acquired by Twitter, they do not have much spare time to work on this site. We are just lucky they elected to keep it open.
