How can I get the d key to work on my MacBook Pro?

Asked by LauraDA (27points) January 18th, 2011

The d key does not work on my Macbook Pro. I have to hit it a few times to get it to take. Any way I can do something myself or is this a take it in to a repair place type of issue?

Is this an older MacBook Pro where you can pop off the keys yourself, or a newer one?

If it’s older, you can take the key off and clean out underneath it. If newer, try blasting some compressed air in there.

I bought it in late 07. Tried the compressed air trick but no change, Thanks for answering.

Did you try popping off the key?

Scared to do that! But I’ll give it a go. Thanks.
