Name of an old country town?

A name of an old country town that doesn’t actually exist. Like Maycomb from to kill a mockingbird.

Some time ago, it was popular to name towns in Missouri after other places. So, we have Mexico, California, Japan, New Madrid, Scotland, Kabul (though rendered as “Kabool”), Rolla (Rollie, N.C.), and probably a half-dozen others.
