What is your favorite work out tune?

Asked by Baddreamer27 (710points) January 21st, 2011

Since I have been on this fitness kick, I have been searching/building a perfect kick-ass playlist to listen too to keep me motivated in the gym….What is your favorite tune to work out too? Do you have different types of music for different workouts?

I usually listen to Pandora, DI Radio (Digitally Imported), Last.fm or Slacker. Within all of these you can create channels in line with a favorite artist.

If you want my opinion, anything that YOU usually love listening to, and makes you want to dance, then use it as a workout tune.
Like: Check it out (Will.I.Am ft.Nicki Minaj)
Mama Do (Pixie Lott)
Only Girl In the World (Rihanna.)
Tonight (Enrique Iglasias ft.Ludacris)
Miami 2 Ibiza (Swedish House Mafia Vs. Tinie Tempah.)
Turn it up (Pixie Lott) <Recommended.

When I did work out (at one time I practiced yoga at least once a week), I listened to upbeat music. I usually let my ITunes play a mix I made (on random). It included Joan Jett, Ween, older Beck, Beastie Boys and N.E.R.D.
Good luck on the workout routine!

My fave warm-up song is Lose My Breath by Beyoncé. Her tunes seem to be all sort of middle tempo, which is good for warming up and cooling down.

You can go here and find music by beats per minute, depending on how intense your cardio is.

Have to agree with @Luiveton. My workout music varies from Katy Perry to Neil Young. I love jogging to Southern Man.

Eye of the Tiger – Survivor
Radar Love – Golden Earring

I have other fast paced music for running that really helps. If I remember more I’ll post them.

Misery by Maroon 5. Dunno, it just makes me think of other things while I run. So I don’t have to think of the physical pain, see?

Wasted, Before He Cheats, and Cowboy Casanova by Carrie Underwood.
