themeforest is pretty legit. stay away from free themes though.

In short, plenty of free themes can hide ads/links for totally unrelated sites or even malicious code.

Also, you can try templatemonster.com. I have purchased and used templates from them for years.

@wenn WordPress Theme Generator is an online utility offered by Dutch developer Yvo Schaap and endorsed by WordPress that gives unprecedented control. It is not something to avoid.

oook…....im just saying because the popularity of WP, its not hard to come across ill-intended code in themes that non-developers can overlook and have negative impact on their sites and others.

Wow, thanks guy. I appreaciate all the help. Will the themes in Theme Forrest be customizable? Like, will I be able to tweak the CSS to water down unnecessary effects, change the color schemes, etc?

More importantly, because I’m no computer programmer or web designer, will I be able to get help from these websites?

Each theme will say if it has customizability or different color schemes. Theme Forest doesn’t design all the themes on their site; each one is sold by its users. So if you have any specific questions about a theme you’re thinking about using, ask the user who designed it or look for the answer in the details or FAQ.
