Will the Steelers win the Super Bowl?

Asked by OliviaR (120points) January 24th, 2011

I find it ironic that the Patriots win the superbowl after 9–11, the Saints win it after Katrina, and now one of the biggest songs of this year was Black and Yellow and the Steelers are going. So do you think the Steelers will win the Super Bowl this year?

I think it could go either way, but experience is on the Steelers’ side. By the way, your question has a typo in the name Steelers.

Fixed! Thanks =)

No. The Steelers’ colors are Yellow and Black.

Therefore, it means they are going to lose. ;-)

@Tropical_Willie – it’s infallible until proven otherwise. ;-)

@iamthemob Like I said, great logic…. And we will see for sure if it is infallible.

@Tropical_Willie – Some people rely on statistics. I rely on sarcastics.

Nope. Packers all the way.

@iamthemob A good reason not to bet the deed to the ranch on Super Bowls !

While Rodgers is great at evading pass rush pressure and throwing on the run, BenBerger is too, and he has more experience than Rodgers does.

As long as Big Ben can wait until after the Super Bowl to commit his annual catastrophic faux pas, the Steelers will win. ;-)

@Tropical_Willie – how do you know ‘bout my ranch…

To defeat DA BEARSSSS the Packers must be the most formidable group ever to grace the gridiron, so go Cheesers.

I definitely wouldn’t bet against Rashard Mendenhall right now. So, yep, I think the Steelers will win, but it won’t be an easy victory.

Steelers…...I’m friends with D. LeBeau’s family.

Obviously yes. Honestly I think it will be a great game. Battle of the yellow pants!!! But the Steelers just looked sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good yesterday, oh my god Mendenhall, oh my god the defense, unreal. Plus like someone else said they have more experience….but none of these things really matter….so we’ll see. Go Stillers!

No. God will win, because everything good and bad is done through him. So will he both win and lose? And, more importantly, did I just make nearly everyone here trip balls over my awesome thread-hijack skillz?

I’m not betting money but if I was I would put my money on the Steelers. That team knows how to win. I’m a Bengal fan from birth and they are our rivals. They play with an animosity that other teams don’t have.

I’m gonna watch the Puppy Bowl. Just sayin’.

Brian1946's avatar

@JilltheTooth
What puppy do you think will win the PB?

JilltheTooth's avatar

@Brian1946 : The cute one! And the kitten half-time show is pretty good, too.

Packers all the way but I’m swayed to say that because my wresling coach used to play for them years ago. Smile

As much as I wish that it wouldn’t happen, I do think the Steelers will win. If we watch, I know we’ll be pulling for the Packers the whole time.

Brian1946's avatar

According to ABC news, Green Bay is favored by 3 points. :-o

To paraphrase Bill Murray from a 30-years-old movie, “The Pack is back, and that’s a fact, Jack”! ;-)

The Packers knocked off the #1–3 seeds on the road to make it to the Big Game. Granted, they nearly got torched by this Hanie guy, but the mighty Pack’s defense is the best in the league. It will be very difficult to beat them, even though Rapistberger and the Steelers have more recent playoff experience.

The Pack will rightfully claim their Lombardi trophy, after taking the Halas trophy from the Bears.

I hope they win. If they don’t my husband will be in a really bad mood.
