I think that someone just has way too much time on their hands. Why would aliens go and make circles for no reason?

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

Crop circles are remarkably easy to create overnight, with just a few people that have a basic understanding of simple math.
There are hundreds of people out there that admittedly make crop circles for many reasons. The art (some people are actually paid to make them), as a hobby, or just to continue the rumors of alien landings. Long story short – crop circles are a man made phenomenon.

Nah, can’t be a ufo….no tyre tracks see. Easy really!

Some crop circles are made by men. We have infrared cameras that have recorded them doing it. Many seem a little complex even for those with “some knowledge of math.”

Well thats not a great picture to go on so i cant comment there, but there are thousands of crop circles that have popped up over night, and you do a bit of research and have a look at the geometrical accuracy and size of these things, then tell me they were done by a few blokes with some string lines and boards in the dark. Bullshit.

Im not saying aliens, theres a lot of people suffering little green man syndrome here.
I dont rule out the possibility of them being a man made phenomena, but there not made by piss heads from the local pub. Plenty of people have claimed to be responsible for crop circles but very few can prove any connection. There are also apparently a lot of odd scientific anomalies that pop up in the so called ‘authenticated patterns’ which are pretty interesting.

@Arbornaut A few men have actually admitted to having created some of them; others have been recorded doing it with infrared cameras.
Some. (;

The most likely answer is that aliens were marking a spot on Earth so that they can return to it later. How rude of us to destroy it.

@Aster Thats a great link for some good photos, doesn’t show any of them as man made though. If they are all man made, there is a group of people with incredible skill and way to much time on their hands.
That dutch video is just trash media doing a story, an american cable company did a thing on crop circles a few years back, they flew all the way down here to New Zealand to do it, spent an absolute fortune, hired two cranes to light the field all night and had about 50 people making the pattern. Then they tried to pass it off as a 4 man job done completely in the dark, and slashed the crop at dawn. There you go, mystery solved.
Its just a bunch of people with a keen interest in math and nothing better to do.
I dont buy any of it, the fact is this stuff is actual phenomena.
And if we cant explain it.. then shit… we better make up a good story, because we know everything right?

I don’t think most are man-made. I just can’t figure out how it’s done, by whom or for what purpose. Unless, like the pyramids, “someone” wants us to know they were here and that they are here now. Or that they never left.
I remember reading my mother’s magazines in the fifties about UFO’s. So she was fascinated by them when most people had never heard of them yet. She said a friend of my dad’s saw one and the occupants but was so frightened he’d not tell people what they looked like. Who knows?

@RocketGuy You know what I think :-)

Aster's avatar

” the vast majority of crop circles are manmade.” Likely true. How were the other ones created?

RocketGuy's avatar

@Rarebear – you are thinking: Aliens are more likely to eat us (“To Serve Man”) than to entertain us with their art.

Rarebear's avatar

@Aster You’re right. The rest are made by space aliens.

@Aster

“How were the other ones created?”

By stoned wallabies, of course!

SHEESH I’m just asking.

Maybe they were “womanmade”?

Alien Graffiti? lol…I believe in Alien’s and UFOs, having witnessed a UFO-Orb up fairly close, but I have a hard time reasoning why an Alien would feel a need to make a crop-circle. It’s quite possible, but I just don’t know why.

RocketGuy's avatar

@seperate_reality – what was your UFO up to? Observation, or just flying around?

seperate_reality's avatar

It was just stationary in the air for around ten seconds at night and then just blinked-out or vanished into thin air, not making any sound or movement and was bright and the size of a house. My friend noticed it first and we were both in awe. It was there by sight only and I have no clue what it was about or purpose. I scanned it with all of my perceptions and it really felt like it was somehow in a different dimension looking into our own world, but I could not pick up on it having attention on me. You know, you can usually tell when someone is checking you out. All I really know is, that it was there and far beyond anything man made.
