What are some of the more memorable outtakes from movies or TV that you can recall?

Asked by ucme (50047points) January 26th, 2011

Primarily found during the closing credits in an ever growing list of comedy films. There have also been quite a number of TV shows chronicling the “bloopers” made down the years in that particular medium. So, with that in mind, either give an accurate commentary on those funny enough to be included. Or better still, post a link of any classic “cock ups” that tickled your fancy. Without a doubt these right here are right up there for me =0)

The blooper reel for Bad Santa is one of my favorites. Especially the exchange between Bernie Mac and John Ritter. :)

This is not so much an out take as it is a scene where the actors are trying to stifle their laughter and continue the scene. It is an episode of the Carol Burnett show where Tim Conway is telling a story about an elephant trainer. Carol, Dick Van Dyke and Vickie Lawrence are about to cry. Check it out here

And then there’s this funny clip of Star Trek’s Patrick Stewart doing something really funny (probably for some staff member’s benefit) here

This isn’t exactly an outtake, but rather made for, I believe, an ITV Christmas staff party back in the 80s.

And on the American side, this was shot after a 1970’s-era children’s series had wrapped for good, so the crew started goofing around.

Not precisely outtakes, but audition clips of actors who later became famous are hilarious—like Brando. I saw a clip somewhere, youtube maybe, of him auditioning for one of his first movies. He looked SO nervous.

I enjoyed the cartoon “outtakes” during the credits of Monsters, Inc.

@Dr_Dredd THAT was what I was trying to remember! That was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Thanks for reminding me :-)

I forgot about Will and Grace outtakes! They have some from every season and they are absolutely hilarious. :D

I like the vanity cards at the end of TV shows produced by Chuck Lorre. They only flash on for a couple of seconds, so I haven’t read them all. Of course, some are better than others.

In the original star wars film (the one released in ‘77!) a group of storm troopers is walking through a closing doorway, and it smacks one of the guys on the head. Well, it’s not actually an out take, because it is shown in the film (although not in the remastered editions).

@Kardamom The funniest was the one in which the guys in decon suits were dropping from a helicopter on ropes, only to go splat against a closed window!
