Why does fluther lie to me?

I think its out of humor, to make you smile and laugh at yourself for believing what fluther says when its only joking.

Why am I answering this? Because I AM DELIRIOUS!! And because fluther always tells me half truths. ;( “It’s late take off your shoes and stay awhile.” Yes I know it’s late, but I cannot stay I have 1 hour left until I’m getting woken up for real, so I’ll just keep my shoes on thank you very much!
