To all you single Jellies: What will you be doing this Valentine's Day?
It’s that dreaded holiday again… unless you have a significant other! What are you going to do tomorrow? Personally I plan to do a lot of studying, a box of chocolate to myself, probably a lot of time on Fluther… and make the best of it! Maybe a beer will fit the equation somewhere.
I’m also planning to get some nice upbeat music, Rolling Stones and the like never fail to get me dancing just a bit!
How are you going to make the best of this extremely annoying day?

Same as any other, I’ve never been a big fan of Valentine’s Day, but I like all the sales on red stuff and candy on the 15th.
@JilltheTooth I forgot about the chocolate sales! That is certainly a way to brighten up the day, I’ll be thinking about all those discounted calories I can grab, but, chocolate is always worth it.
Oh, single Jellies… :P When is it again? Probably having a regular day, unless the person I’m seeing has other plans.
I ignore it and carry on with my life.
Like Fyrius I shall ignore. Its just another ruse by the capitalists to make us part with our money.

A good portion of it will be spent in class.
Maybe I’ll light my candle, for the romantic atmosphere, while I do my homework.

Looking for a job.
It will be like any other Monday… I shall study in the morning and then do some with my son in the afternoon. I may or may not buy myself something in celebration for my love for myself, but that is dependent on how loved up I’m feeling.
Taking two exams, praying I don’t get kicked out of my apartment and then falling asleep.
I’m going to go to work, come home and play with my dog, and go to sleep.
Pretty much a normal day for me.
Reading horror stories and eating whatever candy my dad gives me. :D
A normal day as usual
I’ve never seen Valentines day as a ‘real’ holiday, just something media makes a big deal about to make money.
Yep, just another day. I don’t attach a bunch of sentimentality to holidays.
The truth of the matter is that most people assign absurd amounts of attention to this holiday, like anniversaries, as if a box of chocolates makes up for neglecting ones relationships the other 363 days of the year. lol
We should be showing our love and affection to those we care about EVERY day.
Like others, it’s really just another day to me. I’ll be working or in class from 10 to 5, then meeting some girlfriends for dinner at 6. Can’t wait to go to the grocery store on the 15th and stock up on chocolate and those red gummy hearts!
I’ll go to work. And when I get home, I’ll probably check fluther and other internet stuff for a bit. Maybe watch a movie, have a beer and then go to bed.
So it will be like every other day.
Milo here: I have seen a large box delivered by UPS; and today I hear the rustle of gift paper being arranged. It’s either a 52” Tv or a Steinway grand piano.
As chief hunter-gatherer, I have provided the raw materials for baked mouse Alaska.

Valentine’s Day? What is that?
You know I don’t usually feel bad about V Day,... but actually I’m beginning to… I already notice a sort of cynicism in my body about the fact that people are going to be all loved up tomorrow… urgh. It’s already pissing me off…and I’m not normally like this so I’m putting it down to hormones…or something, it’s not really me…I’m usually a lot more…kind. But quite frankly I bet there are more people that go through the motions of love tomorrow and don’t even deserve to get anything because this is the only day they actually do give…than there are true lovers out there…the thought of which kinda pisses me off. I hope I’m wrong.
Maybe next year I won’t be so cynical

Seriously though. I’ll be doing, mostly likely, nothing. I’d like to snuggle and all that jazz, but that’s not happening. So a few tugs here and there and some nice munchie food and I’m good. :)
@nebule : Katawagrey was just here with some yummy VDay stuff and a hug, and my goofy dog is always glad I’m around. That makes it all good.
I’m going to spend the time with my other friends and not care that i don’t have a valentine!!!!!! :)
Making a dinner for my fiancee at home unless he can get off work early enough for us to have a quiet dinner out. We’ll watch some netflix, drink champagne & pomegrante juice, massage each other’s feet with lotion and then fall asleep in each other’s arms. If we’ve got energy then we’ll have some nekid time!
I am going to simultaneously pretend that it’s not happening, while hating everyone who is in a relationship. That conflict should occupy me for most of the day.
In reality, I’ll probably drown my sorrows in some weed and play Guitar Hero to forget.

<<has decided to stop being such a miser and spread some love today!! So Happy Valentine’s Day All!! I love you all dearly of course. It’s also the perfect opportunity to really lean into loving myself by starting to shift some of these pounds (as opposed to buying myself chocolate and champagne…although that sounds very appealing!!). I’ve been away from Fluther for a couple of weeks now due to study commitments but whenever I return after these absences I am always reminded how special you guys are to me. So thank you xxx

I am spending the day with a cute girl, Caroline. I woke this morning to her kissing my hand and then a kiss on my forehead. I fixed both of us breakfast & then we made our way to the couch. Which is where I currently sit, with her head in my lap, while we watch Futurama all morning.*
*I’ve been asked to house sit for my brother (because I’m the only single one) & look after his greyhound, Caroline, while he & his girlfriend go out. The most action I’m getting today is a curious wet nose to my crotch.
