When were you last in a tree?

I was playing Humans vs. Zombies last week at school and I climbed a tree and hid in it for and hour and a half to evade some zombies. I also sat in the same tree for a while with one of my friends earlier that day.

A little over a year ago when I was trimming limbs after a hellish ice storm that wreaked havoc on almost every tree in the state. Got lots of fire wood in the deal though.

Heh, well….when my cat was stuck about 30 feet up in a huge Oak tree in Nov.
I tried climbing an adjacent tree to encourage him, I also had to climb over my own fence into the creekbed and stumble down into the ravine. Yep, it was quite the effort I was exhausted.
Of course I was doing all of this after some wine. haha

I think it is so wundayattaful that you still climb trees. It is such a free, lighthearted thing to do. I think I might break bones if I tried it though. The last time was when I was about 19 in a huge park near my parent’s home. I was with my sister and it was a beautiful summer day and we climbed up this big oak tree and sat on a branch overhanging the path and said hello to people as they walked past. They thought we were nuts, we had a lot of fun.

And why were you climbing said tree wundayatta? Just for fun??!

Last time I took acid. I spent the day in the woods mucking about and climbing trees. It was great.

Oh my, I guess I was about 30.

I probably have not climbed a tree since I was in my thirties. I was with my kids.

I was always being chased up trees… until I fell and injured myself…. then I learned to fight and I don’t climb them anymore…I’ve only been on the bottom branch since then… but I want to climb

I love climbing trees, but its off-season atm, so not for a couple of months.

In the winter we generally climb scaffolding and buildings.

Well, I’ll tell you this, @Earthgirl: You know those little chainsaws on the end of a stick that tree guys have? I sure wish I had one of those! But you can’t have every tool in the book.

I was in a tree last year, a rather beautiful oak in Scotland. It’s next to a castle and a few big Lochs, so I get out the old mp3 player, crank up the acoutic rock and just enjoy the view!

2010 when my fiancee took me rock climbing. I cheated and went up a tree to get over to a ledge instead of scraping up a rockface.

…Huh. I don’t think I have ever been in a tree. That makes me sad.

My young dog loves to scurry up trees that have big horizontalish branches. And I usually scurry right along behind, then the little dog follows me. Often we will sit there for a while and survey the surrounds. I love it.

This past autumn. We went apple picking (as we do every year) and I climbed a few trees. One of my favorite things up do.

When I was a kid there was an apple tree in the garden which I used to climb all the time. It got cut down when I was 13. That’s the last tree I ever climbed.

I’ve been on a tree & i’ve been up a tree, never have I been “in” a tree!! Thats tantamount to tree intercourse is it not? Ewwww…...or should that be ewe? Anyway yeah, I scaled a tree just this last week, my sons football was caught up there & well, needs must.
