What is the name of this game?

Asked by Stefaniebby (1170points) March 6th, 2011

A year or so ago I was hanging out with my previous manager and a few other people and we were playing this game where you have a sheet of paper and you write something about a specific person, usually we would write something rude. And if I remember correctly there was a card that started you off with something like “This person lived in a village with….”

So if I were playing with 5 other people and they each had to write something about me it would play out like this

Person 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 each write about me
“Stefanie lived in a village with her pet donkey… yadda yadda”

They mix their sheets of paper with their story about me in this village, I read them out loud and try and guess which person wrote which story.

I want to buy this game SO bad and play it with my friends, it’s hilarious.

Otherwise if you don’t know what I’m talking about do you know any other adult (not sex adult, like rude adult) games? Tell me about them! I need some party games!

I’m not sure which game you’re referring to, but The Game of Things and True Colors are relatively similar and a lot of fun. :)

This is a school playground game all you need are pencils and paper!

Good call @Vunessuh. I was trying to think of True Colors or Loaded Questions

Apples to Apples, Balderdash and Scattergories are some of my favorite all-ages games

@Vunessuh & @BLITsZ After reading about The Game Of Things on Amazon I feel like that’s the game, or a very similar game.

Thanks!

I was always fond of Dictionary. The oldest simplest version is done with a large dictionary, pencils and paper. PM me if you need the rules.
