Are The Smiths really back together?

Very, very highly doubt it. I did a quick check of Google News and it came back with nothing relevant. If a reunion of The Smiths was in the cards, the blogs and magazine websites would be going gangbusters on this topic.

All I could find when I did a Google search was that there are two Smiths tribute bands touring in 2011. The Smiths Ltd. and The Smiths Indeed. I’m willing to bet that it was one of these that you saw listed somewhere.

Like @hiphiphopflipflapflop said, if The Smiths were really reuniting, it’d be huge news.

I think Morrissey is still dead set against ever reuniting.

Some people don’t believe Morrissey doesn’t want to get back with his old mates. This contains pretty strong dialogue about him ever reuniting with The Smiths. He goes on to say stuff along the lines of how he would rather play with his current band (at the time) than with The Smiths.
