How do taxes work when you use an online temp/assistant service?

Asked by pallen123 (1519points) March 28th, 2011

I am a sole proprietor and if I use an service like odesk to have people outside the U.S. do market research for me, can I handle that as a business expense for my taxes and how do I have to account for it?

Yes, you can handle that as a business expense. You put it in Schedule C, which you file for your business to determine profit or Loss.
