Why can't I get the Skype toolbar to show up so I can add a contact?

If you don’t see Contact, go to View on menu and select Contacts… There’s also shortcut Alt+1 that will do the same.

I got it to work the next day. My boyfriend had started it from google instead of the shortcut which configured it when i clicked on that to open it. Worked fine but had a few probs being able to hear each other with the microphones but maybe got those fixed for good too. nothing is ever simple as it should be for me. Yeah, I am special lol.
