New to sites like Priceline...how do I use them?

Anyway, so…my boyfriend and I are planning to make a trip to Philly this May to see a band play. I’m so excited! The thing is, we are young (he’s 20, I’m 21) so neither of us have ever gone on a trip by ourselves (with the exception of college). I’m trying to find the best deals possible for us and I’m totally lost.

I looked into Priceline and found a chain hotel (I’ve stayed in this chain before) in Philly near the airport in late May for the night we need it for $63 a night!! Wow, that is low. Is this a scam? I hope it’s not.

So basically, can I just book the room with my debit/credit card for the $63 and that’s it? I don’t have to pay anything else? (barring that we don’t trash the room, use the mini fridge, etc)

I may stay for 1 or 2 nights…haven’t decided yet. I’m just trying to figure out if the Priceline price is “real” or not. Seems almost too good to be true.
