Why is Twitter changing their design?

I sort of like the new design.

I don’t see a way to keep the old design.

Did they change it again? I’ve had “new Twitter” for a while and every time I log in there is a black bar on top that says “Switch back to old Twitter for a limited time.” If you click the link it refreshes the page to the old Twitter layout.
Unless, of course, they’ve changed it yet again within the last few days. Who do they think they are, Facebook?

You really like the new design with both spaces, and not vertical line down the middle ? Just wondering if anyone knew if there was an option to change back ? If someone did not like the new design. Just curious.

@Allie – I think they are making it like Myspace again :( I like the old twitter better, but that’s me. I don’t know if there is an option.

There will probably not be any sort of option, there’s no good reason to support obsolescence; However I don’t think most people will notice or care anyway, as the majority of tweets are done on client apps and not the website (eg. iPhone/Android twitter app, Twitteriffic, Tweetdeck, etc.)

Its called progress, embrace it.
