What song did you sing in the shower today?

Asked by naivete (2463points) April 23rd, 2011

I’m a huge fan of singing (but only in the shower).
What song did you sing in the shower today? Do you usually sing in the shower? Do you think you sound better? :)

Today I was in a good mood, so I sang: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – Cyndi Lauper

If you haven’t showered yet, come back when you have and tell us what you ended up singing! :)

This is how I like to start my morning
Try whistling that while washing your face! :)

@lucillelucillelucille
I can’t whistle for longer than 5 seconds… I give kudos to anyone who can.

@seazen_
That’s my song for tomorrow now. Thanks! :)

Que Sera, Sera.

Not really. I never sing in the shower. I usually listen to the radio. But if I did sing, that’s what I would sing. If I knew any lyrics.

@wundayatta
I’d probably just sing the chorus to Que Sera, Sera over and over again
“Que Sera Sera
Whatever will be will be
The future’s not ours to see
Que Sera Sera
What will be will be”
Love that song, by the way!

I don’t sing in the shower. I shower at 5:15am, right as soon as I get out of bed, and I’m generally in no mood.

When I was just a little girl,
I asked my mother, ‘What will I be?
‘Will I be pretty?
‘Will I be rich?’
Here’s what she said to me:

‘Que sera, sera,
‘Whatever will be, will be;
‘The future’s not ours to see.
‘Que sera, sera,
‘What will be, will be.

When I grew up and fell in love,
I asked my sweetheart, ‘What lies ahead?
‘Will we have rainbows
‘day after day?’
Here’s what my sweetheart said:

‘Que sera, sera,
‘Whatever will be, will be;
‘The future’s not ours to see.
‘Que sera, sera,
‘What will be, will be.’

Now I have children of my own,
They ask their mother, ‘What will I be?
‘Will I be handsome?
‘Will I be rich?’
I tell them tenderly:

‘Que sera, sera,
‘Whatever will be, will be;
‘The future’s not ours to see.
‘Que sera, sera,
‘What will be, will be.’

Whatever song happens to be the prodominant earworm. Last night it was Right As Rain

I woke up in a fairly good mood, so ended up singing this. It’s Greenday pretending to not be Greenday. Confusing, but I love the song itself. :)

@ucme—I’ve been singing this lately

ucme's avatar

@seazen_ Nice! It’s to your credit you recall so many lines. I just usually hum along until the chorus :¬)

seazen_'s avatar

I always youtube plus lyrics and learn songs that way.

Resourceful! There are a select few that I know from start to finish. A very small list.

seazen_'s avatar

I probably know hundreds, maybe thousands.

Good Morning Good Morning from Singin’ in the Rain. I normally sing the titular song, but this one has been stuck in my head lately.

“Funiculi Funicula” to the lyric “flar” over and over.
