Is there a NYC-focused blog along the lines of The Bold Italic?

I don’t really read them unless someone sends me a link, but NY Magazine, NYPress and Gothamist seem to have rather similar goals to the one you linked. But hell, I doubt SF is that easy to encompass much of in a single blog, and NYC is even bigger, so the usable blogs tend to be very topic-focused. Want a blog about transit? Read Second Avenue Sagas or Streetsblog NYC. Food? Not hard to find something at the neighborhood or borough level (Eating in Queens, Eat It: The Brooklyn Food Blog). Sex? Well, here‘s a list from genitalia-obsessed The Village Voice.
