I want access a protected network how do I access it?

use a password

If you want to access a secured network, you will need the password, potentially a username (if wpa2enterprise f.ex.) or even have your Ethernet Id added for access. If you can’t arrange that, you’re probably not meant to access it.

then ask them what security and what you need to access it – if they want you to access it…..

jdogg~ if the network is password protected then that should be your sign ~ steer clear.
And if other neighbors have unsecured wifi and you access their network without permission it’s called piggybacking, and is a punishable offense in most communities.
