I bruised my jaw today and I have to go to the dentist tomorrow?

Ok so today at school I ended up bruising my jaw and now it really hurts to move or open close mouth and I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and will have to keep my mouth open for about an hour for a route canal part 2 is there anything that can help it feel better by then

It’s probably too late to ask now, but I’d have looked into getting general anesthesia for something like that…
