Can anyone recommend a good sports bra for a large-ish bust that doesn't cost a million bucks?

Asked by Seelix (14947points) May 17th, 2011

I wear a 38D and need some pretty intense support to keep the girls in line and pain-free. I’d like to be able to start jogging once I improve my cardio stamina, but one other thing I’ll need is an industrial-strength sports bra.

Ideally, I’d like something that will keep the girls more or less in place while offering some back support, and moisture-wicking fabric is also a plus. Does anyone have any experience buying sports bras, and can you suggest something that isn’t going to break the bank?

Thanks in advance.

Not personally, I’m a guy, but try Jockey.com .

One piece of advice that I hold dear to my heart/boobs is to wear two bras for sport. It really stops them jiggling about. This advice is from one D cup to another!

I got mine from Target years ago; I think it’s the Champion brand. @noelleptc Great minds =) It’s best to look for one that has actual cups, and then maybe layer that with another cheaper one.

Thanks gals, I’ll check out the Champion ones next time I’m in Wal-mart. I don’t mind spending $20–30; I just don’t want to have to shell out fifty bucks for one, y’know? :)

Try Bounce They’re expensive, but they last for a long time. For running, it’s worth investing in good support. (Champion no longer makes the model that I’ve worn for years and years. I wear a supportive bra and then a sports bra on top of that for running. I don’t like to jiggle.)

@syz – Thanks. I think I’ll check out the cheapies first, then if I’m not happy, I’ll take a closer look at your link. They do look to be pretty awesome, but the price tag is a leetle steep. :)

I play soccer and I am a triple D. I use a halter sports bra from Adidas and then I put another less constricting one on top of that.

I also use duct tape to add to that from time to time. But that’s just uncomfortable.
