Has anyone ever used Mini Cameras to catch a thief in their home?

I have a teen ager and he has had an awful lot of expensive games and controllers stolen. Last fall I had an Xbox 360 and 2 controllers stolen from my home when I was home. I should have installed a camera then. I have had most of my jewelry stolen also. Where would I buy a mini camera?
