On Sunday or whatever day is the end of your typical weekend, do you have a feeling of dread and depression when you think about returning to work?

I used to, but not any more.

No, I’ve been out of work for a year and I’m sick of it. I want to go back to work, but there is a glut of people competing for jobs in my industry.

When I go back to work I will probably be digging ditches or something, so I expect I’ll dread Mondays then.

No…I finally get 5 days of peace and quiet! Well 4 this week!

Eh, for me the worst part was having to get up early more than it was having to return to school. This quarter I don’t start class until 1 P.M. on Monday, so it’s like having another weekend-like sleeping opportunity…which makes up for having to return to the old grind. :)

I’m just about a month into my job and I don’t really dread going to work after a weekend. There have been two Monday’s recently that I’ve had to wake up at 4:30am though, so that’s certainly not fun. I kinda dread waking up early

Trying to enjoy a Sunday is like trying to enjoy your final dinner before you get executed. -Calvin

Well I’m not that cynical. I don’t think. But nah, while my job sucks, it needs to be done if I wanna live, so no use in me scrapping my Sundays about it. I have beer to help. Plus I’m also in school, which is a lot more fun, even though I hate how hectic it gets sometimes. But now that I don’t start again again till the end of the Summer, I just have work to look forward to. I hope my stages won’t suck like last year.

It dependss a lot on how things are going for me at work. Recently I went through a period of total lack of inspiration and general discouragement. I would go through the whole day just watching the clock and feeling utter relief when I was free to go home. This is unusual for me because I really do love my work. It’s my present job situation that sucks. I know how hard decent jobs are to come by. My salary is good but not great and I have good benefits and pretty good job security especially for this day and age. But what can I say? I am an ungrateful little snot! I am a princess! I want to be appreciated and praised! I want it all…..excuse me now I think I need to go work on my resume. So in answer to your question, absolutely yes! I dread it.

To a certain extent I do. I get that feeling stronger when I have had a more extended period off work like a week or two.
