What is something that starts out ugly, but then turns beautiful?

Any kind of baby bird. Them’s ugly! And no, the bird in the picture isn’t dead.

Humans are quite disturbing looking when first born.

Yeah, babies. They really are not cute when first born. Not even my own, but I will claim this as a vicious hack of my account if one of them sees this response.

I would have to say certain foods, like meat. I mean certain meats are pretty scary to work with. I used to work in a high priced restaurant and sometimes I felt like I was hacking body parts with the peices and sizes of meat that the butchers would bring. But then you clean it, prepare it, and cook it and once you have plated it, that piece of meat is a beautiful peice of edible art. Voila!!

Death can be beautiful,merciful.

Human babies. They really really are ugly as hell.

Some architecture. I’m a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright’s creations for their appearance. An example is the house he built called, Kentuck Knob. He designed it without ever visiting the site, and the local contractors hired to carry out had no clue that what they were building would become a beautiful work of art.

One Christmas, my wife made a banana pie. On the way out the front door, she dropped the pie in its plastic container. It was an ugly mess. The pie was still good, since it did not hit the pavement on the sidewalk. Opening the container and looking at the blob, I said to my wife. “hey, this ugly mess will still taste good as a banana pudding!”

It was a hit at the Christmas party and no one knew the difference.

I have a friend who loves to plant beets for this very reason. She says that they are so ugly and wrinkled when she puts them in the ground, but absolutely beautiful when they grow. (I’ve never planted beets, but I take her word for it. ) She pictures death and resurrection when she plants them.

Burgers don’t look particularly pretty, but once they enter your mouth they turn in beautiful deliciousness.

My golf swing! I mean, it acts like a demented windmill, but the ball sometimes….usually ends up going where I want it to ;¬}

Swans. They are ugly when their babies. Then they turn into gorgeous majestic keepers of the pond.

oh if i was thought of as a beautiful swan, would be wonderful. i think im thought of as the keeper of the ringing bell in the tower.

Caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies.

Occasionally my mother’s meatloaf starts out beautiful and becomes ugly. :P

POP CORN! Well, it’s not really ugly, ugly, but it’s far from as attractive before it’s popped into those fluffy white morsels. And texture wise it’s infinitely more beautiful and easier on the teeth after popping.
