(NSFW)In your opinion, did Anthony Weiner (NY-9) forward a picture of his private parts barely restrained by underwear to a 21 year old college coed?

He is not so sure. He admits that a such a picture might just exist. But he is not so sure the one in question is actually one of the photos that might exist. He clearly does not know his own underpants.

Nobody really knows (yet) what the story is. But given the history of politicians, their narcissism, their egotism, and their general belief that they are above reproach by birth, what do think at this moment?

This might sound rude, and you might ask why I would even respond to this question, but: who cares? This is the first – and hopefully the last – that I will hear about some sexy story about some politician. Do I have any interest in the sexting practices of my sketchy neighbors down the street? No. Why would I have any interest in this? From what I gather, Weiner’s job is politics.
This type of thing is precisely what keeps the unwashed masses distracted from what’s really going on.
I apologize in advance. It’s been a really tough day, and I am a bit crabby.

@tom_g FYI I wash regularly.

None of the links work for me.

@tom_g I know what you mean. Stories like this often do distract from more pertinent things. Maybe it’s because politicians are sort-of celebrities, and oh do we love hinky stories about celebrities? Or maybe because politicians are supposed to be existing at a higher standard (remember “Character Counts!!!” ?), since they’re allegedly in office to tend to how we peons live. It’s an incomplete thought (I hear you about tough days!), but just wanted to throw those out there.

This stuff just makes laugh. Looks like this guy’s career is over. Who’s career will be ended next week by the latest “sex scandal”?

Why can’t politicians learn that they simply can’t send people nude photos in today’s world of getting hit by trains while texting, internet addictions, and the “Twittersphere”?

I think people care because politicians are elected and should not be doing deceitful things – they are supposed to be above that (notice I say “supposed to be”).

There was a public relations expert on NBC before and he said that Weiner should not be angry and defensive, he has to answer the questions because the questions won’t go away. If Weiner did send the photo, it’s not the worst offense imaginable, although his wife probably won’t be thrilled with it.

He could settle the entire idiotic thing by just answering a friggin’ question and stop being so arrogant.

I have never heard of this guy. I don’t know what he’s accused of doing. But if it’s a guy and a picture of his dick sticking out of his underwear, then I’ll bet he did it. I mean, what guy isn’t in love with his own dick?

Imadethisupwithnoforethought's avatar

I am oddly uncomfortable looking at pictures of his dick. Until this happened, I was pretty confident about my own. Now I am feeling a little insecure.

In answer to the question, its his dick. But he has no idea how it got sent to that particular girl.

I find your “barely restrained” description hilarious

Hahahaha, this is by far one of the funniest stories I’ve ever heard on the news. I definitely thought it was a joke at first. What a name!

I had heard that the photo was forwarded to several people, which would support the theory that his e-mail or phone or something was hacked.

Its obviously a very “concerning” situation, but its not at all out of the realm of possibility that someone broke into his crap, found some private photos of him and thought “well won’t it be fun to send these off to some people….”

Wouldn’t be very hard to do.

What he said in the press conference two days ago was that he was not sure if it was his photo, and he had people checking the photo out. Like he does not know what his underwear and pecker look like?
