What are some cool segments to add on a kid/teen site?

Asked by pcmonkey (427points) June 3rd, 2011

My friends and I have a website and its pretty cool. But we have to drive traffic. Any ideas for cool segments? And not like science, outer space, or any of that kinda junky stuff. It’s like ages 7–16 so yeah. Thanks

How about a “Weird Stuff Going on Here” type of thing, where you post pics of your friends/classmates for captioning…like hey, he seems to be doing this, but what do you think? Or a news type thing, but comedy style about your peers (long as you don’t bully and get permission)

Unusual animal pictures are always good.
Five ingredients or less recipes.
How to make useful stuff, like paint balloons, clay, papier mache, etc.
Housefly art
Anything zombie

A show and tell corner where kids can post pics of their pets or vacations or whatever and write a blurb about it.

Put in some mind games that will ask for their response. Like ‘Best Caption’ to a picture, or some cool stuff to find in brainbashers.com :D
