Any tips on finding cheap flights from Big I, Hawaii to the mainland?

Trying to find the cheapest method of traveling from Big I Hawaii to the Mainland. Preferably a flight, (and most likely will be) but I’m flexible.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, stories of experience are welcome as well.

There is a new daily flight direct from Hilo to LA on United/Continental. I got a good deal on that one through the travel site Expedia.com.
