How can I stop Windows Media from re-organizing my files on DVD burn?

Asked by espearite (278points) June 20th, 2011

I’m burning files that are in separate folders to data DVD. When I burned the files, they were separated into folders titled “video,” “music,” and “pictures.” Is there any way I can get these files to burn onto the disc as they have been organized? This is driving me up the wall. Thanks. ;)

It might help if you provide some details:
– What OS are you using?
– What method are you using to burn your DVDs?

I’m using Windows 7 Home Premium and I am dragging and dropping folders into the Windows Media 12 burn list.

Have you tried just using Windows Explorer to burn your DVD?
