I have a feeling that the men who want sex right away (i.e., they treat a woman like a hooker), don’t get it. The more they don’t get it, the more they want it right away.

Let me be more precise in answering her question.

Women (or men to homosexuals I assume) are wicked attractive. When they are right there, and receptive, its hard not to think of anything else.

When they are not there, we want them there, cause its crystal clear that they should be there having sex with us. It makes no logical sense that they are not. Its intellectually frustrating, like pulling a slot machine over and over again. When we finally see the woman we have been thinking about, we are determined to make her see how much sense it would be to be with us.

This is especially true when we really care about a woman. “How can you not understand? You should be having sex with me! I really do care about you!”

I’ll summarize (in fewer than 15,000 characters) the long, boring evolutionary theory @Blondesjon was referring to. :P

Evolution favors those traits that favor creating many successful offspring.
Women, when they have sex, likely will have to carry a fetus for nine months (evolution doesn’t know about birth control), which is a physical strain. Therefore, since sex has consequences, women are more picky about who they have sex with. If they’re going to have to spend nine months carrying a fetus, they want to make sure that fetus is one that is going to be successful. So they seek out men with favorable traits to create a sucessful fetus. Women’s sexual habits, generally speaking, value quality over quantity.
Men on the other hand, have almost no consequence for having sex. Since creating offspring doesn’t take a physical toll on a man, the easiest way to create many successful offspring is to just create many offspring. So they aren’t so picky. Quantity over quality.

Each men has its reason for wanting to have sex. Usually is just because they are men. It depends on the moment, their social status, the situations he’s going through. If you’re in a strip club, you will definitely think of sex, the image of many women dancing like that is enough. Even women have lots of reasons to want sex. It’s human nature.
