You know the kind you’re greeted with by a recorded message instead of a human being?

Great question, as they’ve been hounding me recently, and it feels illegal.

I get that from bots making attempts to collect a debt but never from sales bots. And I am on Do not call registry. That helps out a lot. It’s probably legal but a soul less bot prompter isn’t going to get many sales over the phone I wouldn’t think. Shop on line if you want to avoid speaking with bots or anyone really. https://www.donotcall.gov/

Yeah it’s legal, it’s called a dialer. But it can be used for telemarketers, but they can’t call you If you are on the do not call list. But if you owe a debt, the do not call list does not count, because a company is trying to get their money.

It’s not legal for them to call you if you are on the Do Not Call List
