Do you believe that there are some people who never seem to be able to beat the demons/fears within them?

Asked by ZEPHYRA (21750points) July 27th, 2011

Despite counseling, medication, family support, encouragement, do you think that some people, no matter what they do, how hard they try, no matter how desperately they want to get over their nightmares, never actually do so and are doomed to die with them?

Yes,of course.
I have known a few and they are either dead or getting there quickly.

Certainly. They have decided that life just is. Life truly is what you make of it. That life lesson has been passed down to me in some rather negative ways. Luckily, I chose to see the pattern as a life lesson and not something I was stuck into through my birthright.

I’ve known a few of them, sure. If you suspect your load is greater than you can shoulder or move then try everything you can to find a focus, a passion a core group of friends before giving yourself over.

Of course. I think there are more of us than of those who beat the struggle.
