Is it possible to reset my keyboard settings even if I'm unsure of what's changed? (See details)

My cats like to walk on my keyboard now and then, and sometimes my input gets all messed up and certain keys do things that they ought not do. For example, I just restarted my computer because, somehow, the pitter-patter of kitty feet made it so that the T key minimized my Firefox window.

I really have no idea what it is they’re stepping on, and the effects are different each time. Is there any way I can get things back to normal without restarting my computer, even though I don’t know what happened to mess things up? I’m running Vista if that matters.
