Mamma Say?

Asked by ipodrulz (81points) May 4th, 2008

I’ve heard “Mamma Say, Mamma Sa, Mamma Cu Sa” in two songs already. Rihanna’s “Don’t stop the Music” and another MJ song. what does it mean?

Some say it’s voodoo related but this is essentially it:

Mark Anthony Neal, a writer, put it like this: “The lyrics (utterings really) were taken directly from the music of Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango who broke into the American market in 1973 with his classic ‘Soul Makossa’.”

Oh, and it is also this guy.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t mean anything and they are just lyrics. It’s actually amasay mama sa ma macu sa.

Maybe it means she isn’t creative enough to think of something else to say…....or they have the same song writer…...maybe its some kind of rap conspiracy….....who cares!
