What film did Miramax kill that I should see?

Asked by Rheto_Ric (1182points) August 18th, 2011

I’ve just finished reading Down and Dirty Pictures by Peter Biskind. It’s essentially the story of the rise and rise of Miramax. In the book, he mentions that on many occasions, if the Weinsteins (usually Harvey) didn’t get their way, they would ‘kill’ a movie, i.e. not promote it and send it straight-to-video. So, what are the best movies I’ve likely never seen?

The Libertine It did play in a few theaters for a very limited time, but it was not widely shown.
In my opinion, it is probably Johnny Depp’s best work.

Peter Biskind is a neighbor and an acquaintance. I will tell him about this question; a mention here is bested only by being a crossword clue (in the NYT.)
